Accolades

"In the history of Jhansi, this is the very first time an astronomy centric competition has been organized here [Translated from Hindi]... The quality and level of questions is very good... and the competition is very well organised... I don't think anyone else could have organised such a competition"

Mr Pulkit Garg, Municipal Commissioner Jhansi

"I would like to thank Cosmic Cup for hosting such an unique and wonderful competition ... Cosmic Cup should be taken as an example of a role-model for not only Jhansi Education Department, but the Uttar Pradesh Education Department as well [Translated from Hindi]"

Mr Mansaram, Deputy Director of Education Jhansi

Our Founder

Mr Kushagra Shrivastava

Hi, Kushagra here. I am a native of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India but when you read this, there is a high chance I am in Singapore. Cosmic Cup was born out of my passion for astronomy, and the inability to sit idle. I woke up on 23rd January 2023, and decided I shall host a competition and give students in Jhansi a taste of Astronomy. I texted members in my team, without a plan (which is not a good idea when you want people to work with you), and (not so) surprisingly they all agreed to help me out. I have met most of my team members through our mutual love for astronomy which served as the biggest motivator for the success of this competition.

As expected, there were multiple hurdles in the first ever edition of Cosmic Cup. Yet, we overcame them with the support of the 800+ students who showed their support by registering for our competition. We have big plans for the future of Cosmic Cup, and I genuinely hope we are able to inspire and expose students to this amazing and beautiful world of astronomy at an early age.
